Ford Fiesta: Roof Opening Panel / Trough Assembly. Removal and Installation

Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

1. Remove the roof opening panel glass.
   Refer to: Roof Opening Panel Glass (501-17 Roof Opening Panel, Removal and Installation).
   

1. Remove the roof opening panel frame.
   Refer to: Roof Opening Panel Frame (501-17 Roof Opening Panel, Removal and Installation).
   

1. Using an interior trim remover tool, separate the trough assembly arms from the trough assembly.
   Use the General Equipment: Interior Trim Remover

1. 
   
   1. Gently raise the trough assembly and slide the trough assembly guides under the trough assembly.
      
   2. Slide the trough assembly rearward until the trough assembly is approximately 76.2 mm (3 in) from the roof opening panels rear edge.
      

1. NOTICE: Use care when disconnecting the trough assembly from the roof opening panel tracks to prevent damage to the trough assembly or frame.

   
   Remove the trough assembly.
   
   1. Pull the guide inward.
      
   2. Release the retaining tab.
      
   3. Remove the trough assembly.
      

Installation

1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
