Ford Fiesta: Handles, Locks, Latches and Entry Systems / Hood Latch. Removal and Installation

Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

  1. Remove the bolts and the hood latch from the core support.
    Torque: 80 lb.in (9 Nm)

  1. Remove the front hood latch.
    1. If equipped.
      Disconnect the hood ajar switch electrical connector and position aside the wiring harness.
    1. Detach the hood latch release cable from the hood latch.
    1. Remove the front hood latch release cable from the front hood latch and remove the front hood latch.

Installation

  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

    Remove the battery tray.
