Ford Fiesta: Front Suspension / Front Stabilizer Bar Bushing. Removal and Installation
Removal
NOTE:

With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist.
Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview (100-02 Jacking and Lifting, Description and Operation).

Disconnect the exhaust isolator.

Remove and discard the front stabilizer bar bracket bolts and position aside the front stabilizer bar.
Torque:
35 lb.ft (48 Nm)

NOTE:
Note the position of each component before removal.
Remove the front stabilizer bar bushings.
Installation

NOTICE:
Stabilizer bar rubber bushes are grease-sensitive. Make sure bushes are always installed in dry condition.
NOTE:
Make sure that the mating faces are clean and free of foreign material.
NOTE:
Make sure that these components are installed to the noted removal position.
Replace the front stabilizer bar bushings.

NOTE:
Make sure that the clamp is installed to the same orientation as when removed.
On both sides.
Install the new front stabilizer bar bracket and bolts.

To install, reverse the removal procedure.

A newly developed McPherson front suspension with L-shaped lower arms is used.
The lower arm bushes have been enlarged compared with the previous model...

Removal
Remove the rain sensor cover.
Remove the upper rain sensor cover.
Remove the lower rain sensor cover.
NOTICE:
After removing the bracket, wait for a minimum of 2 minutes before removing the rain sensor...
Check
NOTE:
No factory-equipped vehicle should have more than a 25 mA
(0.025 amp) – 50 mA (0.050) draw depending on the vehicle's accessories.
Check for current drains on the battery in excess of 25 mA (0.025 amp) –
50 mA (0.050) with all the electrical accessories off and the vehicle
at rest for at least 40 minutes...
