Removal

NOTE: 60 percent shown, 40 percent similar.

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

  1. Remove the rear seat backrest.
    Refer to: Rear Seat Backrest (501-10 Seating, Removal and Installation).
  1. Remove the child safety seat tether anchor bezel.
  1. NOTE: 5-door only.

    Remove the child safety seat tether anchor covers.
  1. Remove the bolt and the rear seat backrest hinge assembly.
    Torque: 26 lb.ft (35 Nm)
  1. NOTE: 5-door shown, 4-door similar.

    Release the J-clip, unzip and position the backrest cover upward.
  1. NOTE: Mark the backrest latch alignment prior to removing the backrest latch to assist in installing and aligning the backrest latch.

    • Position the backrest cover and foam away from the backrest frame.
    • Remove the bolts and the rear seat backrest latch.
      Torque: 17 lb.ft (23 Nm)

Installation

  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
