Ford Fiesta: Multifunction Electronic Modules / Remote Function Actuator (RFA) Module. Removal and Installation
Removal
NOTE:
Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.
NOTE:
If equipped with push button start the keys need to be programmed into
the new RFA module during ignition off. Once the push button start keys
have been programmed into the new RFA module, the ignition must be
changed to the ON mode in order to carry out the PATS parameter reset
procedure with the RFA module and the PCM .

Remove the passenger front seat.
Refer to: Front Seat (501-10 Seating, Removal and Installation).

Remove the RFA module.

Remove the bolts and the RFA module and bracket assembly.
Torque:
89 lb.in (10 Nm)

Release the wiring harness retainers and disconnect the electrical connectors.

Remove the bolts and the RFA module from the RFA module bracket assembly.
Installation

To install, reverse the removal procedure.

NOTE:
This step is only necessary when installing a new component.

Program the passive keys to the RFA module.

Carry out the PATS parameter reset.
