Removal
NOTE:

NOTE:
This step is only necessary when installing a new component.
NOTE:
The PMI (programmable module installation) process must begin with the
current PCM installed. If the current PCM does not respond to the
diagnostic scan tool, the tool may prompt for As-Built Data as part of
the repair.
Using a diagnostic scan tool, begin the PMI process for the PCM following the on-screen instructions.

Remove the air cleaner outlet pipe.
Refer to: Air Cleaner Outlet Pipe (303-12B Intake Air Distribution and
Filtering - 1.6L EcoBoost (132kW/180PS) – Sigma, Removal and
Installation).

Remove the bolt and the PCM housing cover.
Torque:
48 lb.in (5.4 Nm)

Disconnect the PCM electrical connectors.
-
Remove the bolt and the PCM .
Torque:
48 lb.in (5.4 Nm)
Installation

To install, reverse the removal procedure.

NOTE:
The step is only necessary when installing a new component.
Using a diagnostic scan tool, complete the PMI process for the PCM following the on-screen instructions.

Carry out the Parameter Reset procedure.
