Ford Fiesta: Electronic Engine Controls - 1.6L EcoBoost (132kW/180PS) – Sigma / Crankshaft Position (CKP) Sensor. Removal and Installation

Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist.
    Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview (100-02 Jacking and Lifting, Description and Operation).
  1. Remove the retainers and the heat shield.
  1. Disconnect the CKP sensor electrical connector.
    • Remove the bolt.
      Torque: 71 lb.in (8 Nm)
    • Remove the CKP sensor.

Installation

  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
  1. After completing the repairs, perform the Misfire Monitor Neutral Profile Correction procedure.
