Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

  1. Remove air cleaner outlet pipe.
    Refer to: Air Cleaner Outlet Pipe (303-12B Intake Air Distribution and Filtering - 1.6L EcoBoost (132kW/180PS) – Sigma, Removal and Installation).

  1. NOTE: Have the new component ready to install to reduce coolant loss.

    NOTE: Be prepared for escaping fluid.

    • Disconnect the ECT electrical connector.
    • Release the retaining clip.
    • Remove the ECT sensor.

Installation

  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
  1. Check the coolant level in the degas bottle and add coolant as necessary.
