Ford Fiesta: Intake Air Distribution and Filtering - 1.6L EcoBoost (132kW/180PS) – Sigma / Charge Air Cooler (CAC). Removal and Installation

Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

  1. Remove the front bumper cover.
    Refer to: Front Bumper Cover (501-19 Bumpers, Removal and Installation).
  1. Remove the retainers and the lower air deflector.
    1. Both sides.
      Loosen the clamps and disconnect the CAC outlet and inlet tubes.
      Torque: 44 lb.in (5 Nm)
    1. Both sides.
      Remove the bolts.
      Torque: 89 lb.in (10 Nm)
    1. Both sides.
      Release the holding tabs.
    1. Remove the CAC .

Installation

  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

    Remove the nuts and position aside the remote brake fluid reservoir.
    Torque: 62 lb.in (7 Nm) Remove the strut and spring assembly upper mount nuts.
    Torque: 22 lb.ft (30 Nm)
