Ford Fiesta: Interior Trim and Ornamentation / B-Pillar Trim Panel. Removal and Installation

Removal

NOTE: LH side shown, RH side similar.

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

NOTE: To avoid damage to the trim panels, remove any retaining clips from the body and attach them to the trim panels before installing.

1. • Position aside the front door and the rear door weather strip.
     
   • Release the clips and remove the front door and the rear door scuffplate trim panels.
     
   • Release the clips and remove the lower B-pillar trim panel.
     

1. NOTE: Inspect the safety belt D-ring cover for damage and replace D-ring cover if damaged.

   Remove the D-ring cover.
   

1. NOTE: During installation, make sure the safety belt webbing is not twisted and the safety belts and buckles are accessible to the occupants.

   Remove the D-ring bolt and position aside the seatbelt assembly.
   Torque: 30 lb.ft (40 Nm)

1. 
   Remove the upper B-pillar trim panel.
   
   1. Remove the retainer.
      Torque: 53 lb.in (6 Nm)
   • Position aside the front door and the rear door weatherstrips.
     
   • Release the lower clip, pull down and out and remove the upper B-pillar trim panel.
     

Installation

1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
