Removal

  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist.
    Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview (100-02 Jacking and Lifting, Description and Operation).
    • Disconnect the resonator assembly hose. Loosen the clamps and remove the resonator assembly.
      Use the General Equipment: Hose Clamp Remover/Installer
    • Loosen the clamps and position aside the CAC hose.
  1. Disconnect the EVAP tube from the CAC outlet tube.
    • Disconnect the electrical connector.
    • Remove the nut, loosen the clamp and remove the CAC outlet tube.
  1. Remove and discard the oil filter.
    Use the General Equipment: Oil Drain Equipment
    Use the General Equipment: Strap Wrench
  1. Disconnect the EOP switch electrical connector.
  1. Remove and discard the EOP switch.

Installation

  1. Install a new EOP switch.
    Material: Motorcraft® Thread Sealant with PTFE / TA-24-B (WSK-M2G350-A2)
    Torque: 159 lb.in (18 Nm)
  1. Connect the EOP switch electrical connector.
  1. Lubricate the new engine oil filter O-ring seal with clean engine oil and install.
    Material: Engine Oil - SAE 5W-20 - Synthetic Blend Motor Oil / XO-5W20-Q1SP (WSS-M2C945-B1)
    Torque: 128 lb.in (14.5 Nm)
    1. Install the CAC outlet tube and the nut.
      Torque: 133 lb.in (15 Nm)
    1. Tighten the hose clamp and connect the electrical connector.
      Torque: 44 lb.in (5 Nm)
  1. Connect the TP sensor electrical connector.
    • Position the CAC hose and tighten the clamp.
      Torque: 44 lb.in (5 Nm)
    • Install the resonator assembly and connect the resonator assembly hoses.
      Use the General Equipment: Hose Clamp Remover/Installer

    Oil Pan. Removal and Installation
