Adjustment

Position the gearshift in N and apply the P brake.

Remove the air cleaner outlet pipe.
Refer to: Air Cleaner Outlet Pipe (303-12B Intake Air Distribution and
Filtering - 1.6L EcoBoost (132kW/180PS) – Sigma, Removal and
Installation).

Unlock the adjuster.

Move the gearshift select cable back and forth and verify free motion.

NOTE:
By placing the gearshift lever into the 4th gear position, it locks the small lever into the N position.
Position the gearshifter in 4th gear.

Lock the adjuster.

Install the air cleaner outlet pipe.

Release the parking brake.
Adjustment
Position the gearshift in N position.
With the vehicle in N , position it on a hoist...

The RCM monitors the driver front door and RH C-pillar side impact sensors and circuits for the following faults:
Open circuit
Short to voltage

Remove the floor console.

Remove the driver seat.
Refer to: Front Seat (501-10 Seating, Removal and Installation).
Remove the parking brake cable adjustment lock nut.

Loosen the parking brake cable adjustment nut.
