Ford Fiesta: Front Disc Brake / Front Brake Flexible Hose. Removal and Installation

Removal

NOTICE: If the fluid is spilled on the paintwork, the affected area must be immediately washed down with cold water.

NOTICE: Make sure that all openings are sealed.

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

1.   WARNING: Before beginning any service procedure in this section, refer to Safety Warnings in section 100-00 General Information. Failure to follow this instruction may result in serious personal injury.

1. Remove the wheel and tire.
   Refer to: Wheel and Tire (204-04A Wheels and Tires, Removal and Installation).
   

1. Remove the brake caliper flow bolt and detach the front brake flexible hose. Discard the washers.
   Torque: 19 lb.ft (26 Nm)

1. 1. Disconnect the brake tube fitting and remove the clip.
      Torque: 159 lb.in (18 Nm)
   2. Remove the bolt and the front brake flexible hose.
      Torque: 18 lb.ft (25 Nm)

Installation

1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
   

1. Bleed the brake system.
