Removal
Negative battery cable

If equipped, remove the battery monitoring sensor.
Refer to: Battery Monitoring Sensor (414-01 Battery, Mounting and Cables, Removal and Installation).

Remove the nut.
Torque:
44 lb.in (5 Nm)

Remove the bolt and the battery negative cable.
Torque:
115 lb.in (13 Nm)
Positive battery cable

NOTE:
The positive battery cable is part of the engine compartment wiring harness.
Installation

To install, reverse the removal procedure.

If equipped with power windows, perform the window motor initialization.

Adjustment
Loosen the bolts to permit movement of the liftgate.
Loosen:

Adjust the liftgate to specification.
