Removal

Remove the check arm bolt.
Torque:
18 lb.ft (25 Nm)

Disconnect the rear door electrical connector.

NOTE:
This step requires the aid of another technician.
Remove the bolts and the door.
Torque:
18 lb.ft (24 Nm)
Installation

To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Check the alignment and correct if necessary.

Normal Operation and Fault Conditions
The RCM monitors all SRS device connections. If the RCM detects a
device connected that is not stored in memory or is not configured for
the component, the RCM sets a DTC and sends a message to the IPC to
illuminate airbag warning indicator.

Suspension fasteners are critical parts that affect
performance of vital components and systems. Failure of these fasteners
may result in major service expense. Use the same or equivalent parts if
replacement is necessary. Do not use a replacement part of lesser
quality or substitute design. Tighten fasteners as specified.
