Ford Fiesta: Climate Control System - General Information / Air Conditioning (A/C) Compressor - 1.6L EcoBoost (132kW/180PS) – Sigma. Removal and Installation

Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

1. Refer to: Air Conditioning (A/C) System Recovery, Evacuation and Charging (412-00 Climate Control System - General Information) .
   

1. Remove the retainers and the under side air deflector.
   

1. Rotate the accessory drive belt tensioner counterclockwise and position the accessory drive belt off the A/C compressor pulley.
   

1. NOTICE: Make sure that all openings are sealed.

   Remove the A/C compressor inlet and outlet line nuts and disconnect the fittings.
   Torque: 159 lb.in (18 Nm)

1. Disconnect the electrical connector and detach the wiring harness bracket.
   

1. Remove the bolts and the A/C compressor.
   Torque: 18 lb.ft (24 Nm)

Installation

NOTE: Install new O-ring seals.

1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
   

1. Lubricate the refrigerant system with the correct amount of clean PAG oil.
